According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 3 bicyclists participating in Adventure Races Georgia’s 22nd Annual Sea to Sea 72-hour Florida Expedition Race were struck by a motorist early Sunday morning (February 28, 2021) on US-1 near Interstate I-95. Around 2:30am, a driver served out of his lane and struck cyclists, severely injuring 2 and killing a 46-year-old Indiana man who was a member of the Air National Guard. The cyclists reported injured in the accident were a 46-year old woman from Illinois and a 41-year old woman from Missouri. It is unclear if the driver will face charges from the accident.
